🗓️ Master Schedule Alignment: Faster, Cleaner & More Flexible
We’ve continued improving the Master Schedule Alignment workflow to make importing and planning smoother than ever.
Faster Imports → Imports are now significantly faster and more reliable — even with large XER files. Creating or extending plans happens almost instantly.
Multiple Label Handling → Importing with multiple labels no longer creates empty swimlanes. Hoylu automatically matches the correct labels and builds only what’s needed.
Activity Connection Handling → Activities now preserve their original dependencies. Tracing between activities has been disabled to maintain the baseline structure of your imported schedule. Connections between activities and regular tasks still work as before.
Subtask Creation & Shortcuts → Creating subtasks and dependencies is faster and more intuitive — right on the whiteboard.
Create subtasks, predecessors, and successors using keyboard shortcuts:
Insert → Create subtask
Home → Create predecessor
End → Create successor
Control + Click creates and opens a task instantly for editing.
Subtasks can now automatically skip weekends.
Successors and predecessors snap to the next available workday.

🔦 Focus Mode: See What Matters Most
Focus Mode now gives you new ways to analyze your plans and highlight key areas instantly.
Filter by Label Categories → Combine filters from multiple label categories (for example, Priority + Effort) to pinpoint exactly what you need to see. You can also highlight elements missing labels, turning Focus Mode into a visual checklist.
Focus by Connection → See which tasks have or don’t have dependencies to quickly find gaps in your plan. Perfect for validating schedules and ensuring all elements are linked.
Focus on Replanned Tasks → Highlight all tasks that have been replanned to easily spot areas with frequent changes or potential scheduling issues.
Updated Icon → Focus Mode now uses a flashlight icon — clearer, easier to spot, and instantly recognizable.

❓ Resource Center: New Location
The Resource Center has been relocated as part of upcoming platform changes.
New Location → Now found in the top-right corner of Hoylu.
Quick Access → Opens in a new window with guides, videos, and keyboard shortcuts.
Announcements → Product updates and release notes are now available here.

📬 Invites & Stability
Fixed an issue where locked tasks could occasionally shift dates or swimlanes.
Improved email invite reliability to reduce spam filtering.
Dashboard text and label search speed improvements are in testing and may be included in the next release.
