Improved Wizards for Easier Plan Setup

  • Guided Plan Setup: We’ve introduced a wizard-driven experience to make creating new plans easier. The wizard now guides users through plan creation, team setup, and swim lane organization.
  • Now Available for Existing Workspaces: Wizards are now accessible in existing workspaces, making it easy to add teams or swim lanes after initial setup.
  • Enhanced Progress Tracking: Multiple progress bars help users see their steps more clearly, improving visibility and navigation.
  • “Don’t Show Again” Option: Users can now choose to disable the wizard right from the start page, instead of having to wait until the last step.
  • Quick Data Import: Easily copy and paste data (e.g., from Excel) into team creation fields. The wizard intelligently detects formatting for a seamless experience.
  • Reopen Wizards for Adjustments: Users can reopen setup dialogs later to add swim lanes or adjust teams without starting from scratch.

XER Import Enhancements

  • Ignore Team Information on Import: Now, users can import task data without requiring predefined teams. This is useful if team assignments will be handled later.
  • Improved Activity Code Display: Activity codes now show both ID and descriptive names, making it easier to track configured settings.
  • Activity Codes as Labels: Users can now display activity codes on tasks, allowing for better organization and task sorting in swim lanes.
  • Performance Optimization for Imports: A new option allows imported connections to be ignored during workspace loading, significantly reducing load times for large workspaces.

Bulk Notification Subscription

  • Subscribe to Multiple Elements at Once: Users can now subscribe to multiple tasks or elements at the same time, simplifying workflow updates.
  • More Intuitive Notification Emails: The notification emails have been redesigned for clarity, with direct links to update notification settings.

Assistive Rescheduling Improvements

  • Restoring “Can Run in Parallel” Option: Users can now mark dependencies as parallel or adjust lag directly in the rescheduling dialogue.
  • Permanent Dependency Updates: Selecting “Can Run in Parallel” now updates dependencies properly, ensuring that warnings don’t reappear unexpectedly.
  • Better Handling of Circular Dependencies: Large task networks with complex interdependencies will now load more efficiently, reducing app slowdowns.

Enhancements to Asset Panel & Weekly Work Plan

  • Flexible Asset Panel Resizing: The asset panel can now be docked to the left, right, or bottom and will retain its position and size after reopening.
  • Easier Navigation in Weekly Work Plan: Users can quickly switch between previous, current, and next weeks when analyzing PPC or planning.
  • Multi-Week View Support: The work plan now allows multi-week selection, improving visibility of overlapping tasks.
  • Future Presets in Discussion: We’re exploring preset filters for common planning needs, such as “Show all tasks for the next week.”

Bug Fixes

  • “Sad Face” Bug Fixed: Previously, large workspaces with numerous connections could cause flickering and broken images in the browser. This has been fixed, with slight performance improvements.
  • Internal Link Recognition Issue: External links were occasionally misidentified as internal, leading to incorrect redirects. This has now been resolved.

Feedback & Next Steps

We continue to collect user feedback and are actively working on:

  • Auto-generating swim lanes based on imported data.
  • Exploring better WBS code support in task management.
  • Further performance optimizations for large workspaces.
