Here’s what’s new across the platform this month, covering system status monitoring and a more predictable CSV import experience.
- 🚦 Status Page: Live monitoring for our EU and US systems, with registration for updates
- 📥 CSV Import Improvements: Smarter detection, more predictable date handling, and cleaner reimports
- 🛠️ General UX and Bug Fixes: Lag values on hover-only connections, plus a few smaller items
🚦 Status page
💡 Monitor system status in real time and register to get notified of maintenance and incidents.
Visit status.hoylu.com for live status on our EU and US systems, our website, and support.
Register on the status page to receive updates, including advance notice of planned maintenance. That way, your system admins know before a service upgrade happens, not after. The page also keeps a history of past incidents, so you have a clear record to reference later.
📥 CSV import improvements
💡 Mapping and importing are now more predictable, with smarter detection and fewer manual fixes.
We reviewed a year and a half of import feedback and support cases and used it to make mapping and importing more predictable across the board.
Improved detection of dependency formats
We rebuilt how Hoylu reads IDs, dependency types, and lag values. Hoylu now looks for lag information first, then relationship type. Anything left over is treated as the ID. This makes matching more reliable and supports many more formats than before, so you’ll need to make far fewer manual adjustments.
Improved date and duration handling
When a task’s start date, due date, and duration conflict, Hoylu now prioritizes the dates. Dates are fixed, and duration can vary, especially when your CSV file doesn’t include calendar information. As part of this fix, imported tasks that should skip weekends no longer show up on them.
Open the mapping dialog from the import window
You can now click the settings icon in the import dialog to jump straight to your mapping configuration, rather than returning to the control panel first. You can also drop a new CSV file directly onto this dialog.
Keep vertical position on reimport
Reimporting an updated CSV used to move every task to the top of its swim lane, even on complex plans. Now, tasks keep their vertical position when you reimport, so you can see exactly what changed and skip the manual cleanup.
Various smaller fixes
- The task editor no longer incorrectly shows some date and crew fields as read-only
- Milestones outside your selected date range are now correctly excluded, instead of importing anyway
- Files exported from P6 now import correctly. A line-ending difference in P6’s export was previously preventing them from reading in
🛠️ General UX and bug fixes
💡 Lag values now update correctly on hover-only connections, along with a handful of smaller fixes.
Set lag value on hover-only connections
You can now update a dependency’s lag value even when the connection is set to show on hover only. Previously, the connection had to stay visible for the change to register.
A few smaller items
- The connection dot now moves along the full length of an element, so you no longer need to find its center on stretched or expanded tasks
- The in-app support icon and tooltip are now clearer and more descriptive
- Images no longer appear grayed out in the weekly work plan
🚀 Thanks for building with Hoylu!
As always, we’re committed to making your day-to-day work smoother, more predictable, and easier to trust.
